Citi Prestige Approval big limit.....DP's

Just apped for a Citi Prestige. Been looking to add this for a few months. 

3 inq in the last year. Pulled EX... 765

262k in available credit. 6% util.  243k total income. 

34k  SL.

Was a bit surprised at the high limit for citi. But have 6 cards between 30-55k limits. I guess that mattered. 2 AMEX, 1 CHASE, 2 NFCU, AND 1 PENFED.

4 yrs AAOA

11 yrs oldest acct. 

Just wanted to let you guys know. They do give big SL's

Big limits w/ other lenders don't always mean you get a big limit w/ Citi.  I have several cards north of 50K as well and they gave me 8K approvals twice which I took the HP at activation to get them up over 10K each.  One was Premier and the other was DC.  

So, my theory w/ Citi is when you go for the bigger AF cards and have some income behind it you're going to see results like this.  Even though some have went for Prestige in the past and either gotten denied or a 5-10K CL upon approval.  I see more increased opening CL's w/ their AA cards usually.

Congrats!!! I thought my 20k SL was nice; that is huge. I only have one card with a 30k limit though most of my cards are 20-25K range. Enjoy it is a nice card and the points add up quickly.

I'd say that's the case 100% here.  When you're talking income that basically puts one in the top 1%, they have the potential for a SL that 99% of other people won't be capable of when considering the single factor of income.
