I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Citi Sears Shop Your Way Mastercard. I have been eyeing it, and I haven't had an inquiry on my Equifax in a while; I got approved with a 3000 SL. Why a sears credit card? Doctor of Credit ran a few articles on it, and their targeted statement credit promos are amazing. Supposedly it takes a couple of months until you start getting targeted for them, but the card had a signup bonus, which is a $40 statement credit off of $50 spend. So I figured why not going to use that on the part of next month's groceries, lol. I know almost all if not all of the Sears/Kmart's are going to close in the next two years, so I don't see this card staying with me long term as I assume the card will be phased out, or maybe it will product change to something else? Still, I am excited to be welcomed back by Citi since I burned them in 2014. Done a lot of work since then and the hard work is paying off.
Grats on your new Citi Sears MC and getting in the door again
Congratulations
👏👏👏 Congratulations on your approval... and nice SUB with it!
Very cool, congratulations on your approval!!
That's terrific! Congratulations on your approval!! 🎉🥂
Congratulations!!
Congrats on your approval!
Congratulations on your Sears Mastercard approval!
Since the card is backed by Citi, I wouldn't be surprised if it converted into one of their core cards when Sears finally kicks the bucket. My parents had a Borders Visa that was backed by Chase, and it was converted into a Freedom that is still used today.
