Citi Custom cash back mastercard was open back in May 18 of this year with starting credit limit of 6K. Have tryed several times over past of couple months for an increase and every time was told by auto mated system that a hard pull would be requird to see if an increase would be grantedobviously stop at at that point was not going to do a hard pull for credit increase. Today I called Citi customer service to see if I could get an increase with out a hard pull. When the Cr answered I ask for US base rep and was connected to a very nice us rep and was that she would try and put request in for increase and if the system could give answer with out pulling report then she would go head if system requires a hard pull then she would stop the process before there would be a hard pull. she ask me all the questions income housing payments and then said you been approved for 2K increase with a hard pull. I ask here if the bank is tighten up and she said lot more requests are going to hard pull. She also said that it looks like that it is now seven months then the six months now. I don't know why citi needs to ask youquestions before they can say if hard pull would be needed.
I now have 2 credit card with Citi bank with total credit limit of 31.6K. Total credit limits are now 285.750K and by way I got 300 dollar increase on my Merric bank card to 3,450. Happy new year to all.
