Anyone with Citi cards remember or know how long it took to get their card in the mail?
I know Disco automatically expedites so I'm not worried about them, but Citi I'm not sure about. I consistently travel for work and will only be home for two days, leaving Wednesday (04/25/2018). I applied online and was instantly approved Wednesday (04/18/2018) and received email same day stating I would receive my card in 7-10 days (in a blue and green envelope). That would be exactly 7 days, was just hoping some have received it earlier or on the earlier end...
Thanks for all the feedback!
P.S. - Already called Citi and tried to get them to expedite and they do not expedite new accounts. Lame excuse of it takes a couple days for your account to be built in their system... yada, yada, yada.... (so far CS doesn't seem nearly as nice as Disco!)
When I cold apped the card online back in late 2014 I got a sl of $6.5K with a 19.9% variable APR. my score was in the high 700’s. The reason for the higher APR I think was due to a high balance on another cc at that time. I had 0 inquiries. I’ve come to realize that Citi needs to up the APR to cover that 2% because a score like that warrants a lower rate. What I do like about Citi DC is their generous cli because since then I have had four cli without me having to request it. Currently have a $23K credit line with them
This is not a card to carry a balance on. I made that mistake ($8K) but have now payed it off.
Thanks for the feedback! I usually PIF, but good to know in case.... also psyched about their generous CLI's! Yes, my APR with Citi is 20.99% so not ecstatic about that, but it's lower than my other cards so I'll take it. Baby steps... Curious to know what my Disco APR will be. Wasn't advised that over the phone on instant approval, but will find out when I receive my card here in a couple of days.
Also agree with you on the compensation to cover the cash back rate. Most of those cash back cards have higher APR's. Although, I was advised by a couple others on here that you can call Citi and request a lower APR. One person on here said they did live chat and got it lowered to the lowest the card offers. Took them a couple of times, but was successful in doing so, and had only had the card for five days. Might be something you want to try.... I know I will be.
Also, out of curiosity, do you remember when you got your first CLI with Citi? And was it auto or did you request?
