Citizens Bank cash plus credit card approval

So I went to my local branch trying to make a little deposit plus change my address since I recently moved after the bank manager checking his computer telling me that I am preapproved for their cash back MasterCard with a credit line of 15,000 which is by far my heights limit I took the offer and best of all it was a soft pull no credit check was needed! I am super excited and cheers to all!

Nice that Citizens can approve a card with no soft pull! Few banks have that system in place. Congrats!

not sure if Citizens has changed its policy of doing HP to SP in order to open an account, or bank manager did SP here just as a favor or by mistake??

I know that some banks are moving towards this model as a diferentiator for their credit offerings. If you meet certain internal criteria, they are able to fund loans without a HP.
