So far there have been no alerts.  I was actually pre-approved a little while back and happened to have some discipline that day.

I will update if a HP comes across.

Similar thing happened to me. Stated I was pre-approved for some number and then only approved for $500. As soon as I received the card, I registered and hit the CLI button and received a nice increase.
