Costco Visa CLI Approval, but Citi Application Denial?
So I got approved for another $1500 CLI on my Citi Costco Visa, putting me at a credit limit of $7100.
I then got a notice/pre-qualify about the new ATT Credit Card they have, and since I have ATT, I figured why not. I'd just use it for my phone bill and subscriptions I have in Google Play/App Store.
However, I got denied, which confuses me. In the last 6 months they've give me a $3,000 increase my Costco Visa card that's only 8 months old. They obviously trust me financially. So I'm kind of shocked I didn't get approved.

Congrats on the CLI.
As far as the solicitation, keep in mind those are pre-selected marketing offers, they're not actually pre-approvals. Also, CLIs are treated a little different than new account originations. Perhaps the letter will provide some insight and the reason(s) as to why they couldn't approve it at this time.
