Finally told myself, "what the heck", and applied for a DCU CC. I also did mention to the CSR that I was planning to get an auto loan soon. After a lengthy application process (she had a LOT of questions about my credit history, employment, places of residence -- because I moved a lot, and what I did between school and getting a job -- because there was a gap) -- she came back saying I was approved for a $4k CC (~9.5% APR, forgot exact percentage -- not their best, but great for me!!) AND an auto loan for $15k, which was what I wanted (I have about 3-4k for DP). I am so stoked!!!! That's it for me, I will be in the garden for the rest of the year!!!!
congrats!!!
Congrats to your successful apps, enjoy

whoooT! Congrats on your success!
Congrats! Thanks for sharing.
Congrats on the CC and the loan!
Just found out today, they double pulled me -- pulled EX and EQ. Guess it's because of my limited credit history. Just a word to others out there who may be on the same boat.
Congrats on the new approvals!
