Just out of curiosity checked out pre-qual sites for both Discover & Amex. Both of which I was declined back in April with a hard pull.
I figured no bigge as I'd only been rebuilding for 9 months at the time. Fast forward to today 1st went to Discover and was PQ'd for both Discover IT and the Chrome. In shock for sure needless to say. I went ahead and app'd. Didn't know to choose IT or Chrome. I went with IT cause I seen many posts about this one. So nervous after I click submit awaiting 60 second response. I then receive message "Oops the page you're requesting is no longer available." Not knowing where I stand with the app I called Discover to explain to them what just happend. 1st rep transferred me to some Specialists who then asked verification questions then placed on hold for about 2 minutes.
He returned with "Welcome to the Discover Family Your're Approved with SL $5.5K. " Could NOT belive it! Been wanting a Discover only for Forever! (I love their commercials btw!)
Same thing with Amex - PQ'd for Delta Sky Miles and Gold - went with DSM cause AF was much cheaper. Just want to get foot in the door is all I was after. Approved w/ SL $1K.
Attempting to raise limits I called both and Discover said no for now but I'd be eligible come Nov 1st.
Amex says to call back once I receive the card. Will do.
I have already been surprised this week as I posted yesterday about the CLI I've recently gotten on my Synchrony Accts.
Lowes - from $17K to $25K
PPCBMC - from $2.5K to $10K
I've read many wonderful posts here that gives me motivation! I hope that I am returning the favor!
Oh and both AMex/Disco pulled my lowest score of course (Fico 8) EXP - 675
