DW-Chase sapphire pref- App- 30 days - Update: Approved

Hello All, its been quite a long I have apped for a CC(yeah, 7 months ago).
Submitted on DW account for CSP and got the message "we need some more time to process this request".
Called the status line and got "We will let you know in 30 days"
 
Fingers crossed.  DW already has 3 chase cards(with total CL of$50k), and usage is very low.
 
How long does Chase takes to give a decision?

It's been 3 days. Still getting same 30 days while calling the automated line.

Saw the hard pull on experian on May, 17.

Should I talk to representative to get details or hold on till Monday?

Well, if it's hanging for ID verification you'll need to wait until Monday since they don't work weekends.

I don't have a Chase card. So, I'm not the best source. But, I've applied twice with Chase and gotten the 30 day message. Called up to check on app in a couple of days, transferred to recon and was denied. 

Maybe give it till Monday morning and then if you don't hear anything, give them a call. As long as it's still saying 30 days and not the dreaded 7-10 days (which can be either denial or verification), you still have a chance, I think. 

Hopefully, someone with more experience with Chase will come in and give their 2 cents.

It can be anywhere from hours to weeks, depending on what's being reviewed. 

I would not call for a while, let the process play itself, especially because she already has significant exposure with Chase and low usage.

Chase seems to be doing this a lot lately, and it's often just because they need to verify your identity and that it was really you who applied for the card. They've gotten really serious about preventing fraud.

My last two Chase apps (one in January and one just a couple of weeks ago) were the same way. The most recent time it took less than a week - I applied on a Friday and got the call from the fraud department the following Thursday. First he sent a code to my cell phone that I read back to him, and then he just asked if I had indeed applied for their card. I said yes and then he was able to submit my application right then and I was immediately approved.
