Daughter just joined NFCU!

OK, if it's allowed, a little dad boasting here. Last Tuesday my youngest daughter turned 18; the first thing she did that morning was to go to our local NFCU office & join. She deposited $5000 into a savings CD @ 3.5%, was approved for a $500 secured Visa card, & opened a checking account. Proud of my daughter & the future she has with NFCU!

Yep, this is her first CC. She didn't want to try unsecured & get an inquiry with no benefit if she was denied, so she went the safe route with the secured. No score yet, but I'm anxious to see where she starts out at...

Re: Daughter just joined NFCU!

Congratulations on your daughter getting into NFCU! Possible for her to get into USAA and /or PenFed aswell as getting either of these will also help her down the road.  We did the same for our children on their 18 birthdays for both NFCU/USAA as we have offices for both in our town.
