Dell Preferred surprise SP Auto Increase

Approved on 9/1/2020 for $4000 and this year of 2022 have tried numerous times by calling them trying to request a nudge up, anything but time and again always no iced tea from them. I assumed it would just stay stuck at that limit and i even considered closing them not long ago. Like this account since you can find discounts during sales promotions on new laptops and accessories etc.

Well combing CreditKarma as i normally do, i was auditing what lines looked like and how long they been that way etc. What caught my sights completely by surprise was when i noticed under Dell Preferred my Limit had been changed. It now shows $5500 which is great but never got any notice by email or USPS indicating when they raised it.

Signed into the Dell Account to confirm this and sure enough they have upped the credit limit to the $5.5K CK showed. Glad to see it finally got a lift after 2 years.

Re: Dell Preferred surprise SP Auto Increase

I'm worried about them closing my account, is anyone here sure that I don't need much use on this account to keep it open? I opened it with a 3k SL and it increased to 4K last month auto cli. Ive spent maybe $100 on it lol.

TLDR, am I okay keeping it idle for a while?

I wouldn't be overly concerned about that. Heck if nothing else just purchase a low cost Flash Drive and that is still considered USEAGE with them. They seem to count on potential purchase for any product that they sell IMO. I also got a SP Auto-CLI not long ago and is exactly what i did to let them know i noticed it.

Shortly after first being approved i did purchase a new DELL Laptop but that's been 2 years ago.
