Last week I checked the AMEX Pre Qual site and found I pre-qualified for a couple of AMEX cards. At the time, my EX Fico 8 was 685. I app'd for the card and they came back saming they were reviewing my app and to expect a response in 7-10 days. I was expecting a denail letter to arrive soon. On Saturday, I received an email from AMEX stating I could check the status of my app and the link was attached. Well, when I tried the link it say I needed to provide missing info, but wouldn't let me get any furhter. I called AMEX this morning and their Fraud Dept wanted to confirm my identity. I sent a copy of my DL and they came back and said I was approved with a $1,000 SL. Not the high limits I recently got from NFCU & Discover, but I'll take it. AMEX is one of my goal cards, so I'm satisfied.
