15FEB16: Called CSR to activate and requested x3 increase to $15,000. Countered with $10,000. I accepted.

I was approved instantly for $2000. I think it said, "You have $2000 for immediate use".
The card arrived and the paperwork showed the credit limit of $5,000 before activation.
I called to activate and requested x3 for $15k but was countered with $10k.

Where did you apply if you don't mind me asking, coz usually amex don't show approval amount when you apply online. I just got approved for Delta Gold, PRG and the Green card, and even though the Delta was an instant approval, i had to call in to find out my credit limit.
