Discover Approval.. But

Hi everyone.. I had applied throught the prequalification site for Discover, selected cash back cards and was prequalfiied for the IT and Chrome card with an offer APR of 14.24

I went ahead and apped the IT card and had gone all the way through the application including phone number text verification, then a technical error came up.

Contacted Discover and told them what happened and they said I was APPROVED with an SL of $6.5k, but I needed to upload docs verifiying my identity.. DL and SS card. I went to do that and the link they provided had same technical error when logging in which I again indicated to their CSRs. They then provided me with a fax number to send it in to which I did.

I applied on 7/1 and so far I havent been able to get them to process. Has anyone experienced this?

I also wanted to know if it was possible to App another Discover card throught the prequal site? Has anyone had a larger SL? I thought it was a bit low relative to others. Im 810 FICO 8 on EX which is what they pulled, and a few new recent accounts opened since Feb 19 (6 accounts)

Discover only allows one card every 12 months. My SO did get a $10k SL with scores around 805, but hadn’t applied for anything in years. Could be the new accounts on your file.

Give it time... not sure if you realize a lot of companies have vacations or partially close or have reduced staff around July 1 to as far out as next week, the 8th-9th... Trying to buy something from a sales rep online for a medical device and they are out until the 9th..

Yep, happened to me a few days ago. Posted about it in applications. I applied for my DH and even took screenshots for him with the final page, saying the application was completed and to wait 3-5 days. I got him to call them the next day and they said something must've gone wrong because they haven't received anything. He was instructed to reapply and this time wouldn't even send the app, saying it couldn't complete... We even checked the status on the app and it popped up with some maintenance msg... He did reapply today and was approved instantly so they obviously had issues...

LOL !!! It can be very frustrating getting stuff done that you want done around a holiday. Not that I ever begrudge anyone time off, but for certain things -- like finanical applications, I generally lack much paitence...lol I hope it all works out well for you though... Fingers crossed.
