+1 I definitely see it here and there but opening at $10k with Discover is a rare bird.

I don't know about a discover stampede just yet. I was approved for IT @ 12,000 last month.

Congrats. This is really surprising given your existing limits, as Discover call themselves a conservative lender....

They are on the low limit side of all my cards, and once refused to limit match.

That happened to me way back when I applied in 2007 (it was the Discover More card back then).  I was approved for 9,900 and I was literally in shock for a month.  Especially since my scores weren't NEARLY what they are now.

It can happen, but yeah, pretty rare.  Congrats on the limit.
