LOL There's a lot of that going on around here!
Was there any doubt? Interesting though that it wasn't instant, you seem to be right in the Discover zone. Perhaps it was simply a glitch and caused a delay.
Congrats!

(Love that username!)
I hope you get an instant approval, because that waiting game with Discover is a downer. I was searching all over the place and finding a lot of people that recently experienced a lot of various errors with the app process.
Sometimes the prequal site even caused a HP, or the prequal would count as a second separate app from the normal app and trigger a fraud alert. All kinds of weird things.
I'm sure most get through it just fine, but if it happens to you, don't give up hope too soon like I did.

Thanks! But for me, yes, there was a lot of doubt! Only because hours before AMEX had approved me instantly for the highest initial CL so far - $11,500. It took 2 SP CLIs over 1 year to get my Citi Costo to $11,500 from an initial $6,500 CL.
I know Discover can't see that recently approved AMEX CL, but they did see a fresh same-day inquiry on EX. That combined with my limited 1yr 2mo total revolving credit history and the '5-7 day' message made me think it wasn't going to go so good.
I can tell from looking at many similar profiles to mine that 1 year of payment history on an SSL is definitely not the same as a year of revolving credit payment history. I may have 2yrs 2mo total credit history (short as that is), but it's not as good as with all cards.
I really just wanted to post something recent about Discover apps stuck in limbo. I still haven't received a single email from them. I mean, even to just let me know I didn't mistype my email address.
Congrats!
Congratulations!
