Discover Secured Approved!!!

Starting the Credit Rebuild after hitting a few bumps in the road, been an AU on a couple of my wifes cards with Credit one and Merrick, and I have my own First Premier card, and decided to do the pre-qual on the Discover site, not expecting ANYTHING since my scores were in the low-mid 500 range just a couple of months ago, and bam pre-qualified for the secured card.. 

Sure it's Secured but the Cash back and the quick graduation rate I've seen from other posters makes me really happy to have a main bank card now.. Hoping to buy a house soon so this will help out for sure!

PIF and hopefully you'll get that sweet email after a random statement cut 6 months or so now from now letting you know that they're sending you a check in the mail and your card is unsecured! 

Treat that well and it will be a great start for you down the road.

I plan to do that.. I want to see if I can PC to the 5% CB card.. I've read that you can do that after the statement posts.. I'm  so glad to get a card in my name with Cash back even while secured.. I plan to treat this card as my daily driver for gas and dining out and pay it off often, so hopefully they love me as much as I'm loving them for giving me a shot after I destroyed my credit in young and stupid days lol

You and me both! Also you are exactly correct on the PC. I did that immediately with my Discover, they have just been a stickler with giving me a CLI. Mine is still a measley $200 unsecured line. However, the 5% cash back is very nice, been using it on grocery store runs and paying the balance of in full right away.
