Congrats Ironbull (aka my favorite video game character )!
Have you thought about closing your secured Cap1 and moving the CL to your platinum? (Not sure if that's allowed with the secured). Also have you thought about upgrading your platinum to the QS?
Congrats! Sam's MC is not easy to get.

13 months overall credit history. Applied for discover almost a year ago hoping for secured offer but flat denial, only couple months history and no score at the time. Applied again 2 days ago and approved for $5500. Pulled EQ, score 725 with 8 inquiries.
After being approved for discover I got froggy and apped for Sams as I shop there a lot and was approved for the Sams MC for $2500. Once card is activated I will call credit solutions and request $25k. I did that with my Lowes card immediately after approval and received $25k, but I've read here Sams likes the card to be activated first. Pulled TU, score 745 with 4 inquiries.
Now I'm thinking of apping for BofA Cash rewards card. Had a special offer when signing into my account the other day with $100 spend bonus and a solid apr. From my understanding they usually pull EX. My score is 750 with 1-2 inquiries. I already have BofA Platinum that was secured but graduated a couple months ago and auto increased fro $600 to $2100 upon graduating. What do you guys think?
My current cards are Cap1 Platinum $3500, BofA Platinum $2100, Cap1 secured $600, Lowes $25,000. All cards carry zero balance except Lowes which is currently reporting $2000, but once updates my payment will only report $1000.
Congrats on approval! My Sam's Club SL was also $2500. It took a while for them to budge, but once they did, it didn't take long to get to $25K.
As for BofA Cash Rewards....eh. Your Sam's Club (and Discover this quarter) already beat their 3% gas. Maybe it'd be useful in the long run if you do lots of Sam's Club spending, as it'd get 2% there over the 1% on the Sam's MC. But then again, you could get Blispay if you just want a 2% card. The $100 bonus is nice, but you could get the same thing with QS or CashForward. Those are 1.5% everything cards, so that could be good, too. So there's a few factors to consider.
this is an awesome thread!!! i'm a first-time poster....so please forgive me if this is too noobish.
i have 3 scores, ofc....all 3 are different; 614 EQ/640 TU/647 EX.
i'd like to find a good card with a limit of $2,500 to $5,000 or more to begin with. my score may get a bump up in a couple days when one of my credit cards reports in....i have a medical collections on my EQ but not on the other two (it's invalid, and i can't get it off of there, but got it off other two bureaus).
so, to get a card with a minimum credit limit of $2,500, would sam's club be a good bet? i'm a member there. or, discover IT card? or, Bank of America (any card in particular).....? i don't want a capital one card again; had them years ago and they were jackasses.
and no, don't want a secured card.
is sam's club MC that hard to get? is BofA a better choice?
how about dicover IT card???? or CITI??? aaarrrgh....
any thoughts would be appreciated. again, please forgive me if this sounds completely noobish...
