First time poster, but I have been learning so much from this forum in the past two months – thank you all. Last week, I bit the hard pull and requested a credit limit increase with my local federal credit union, and this morning got approved for a new limit of $5,000, from $2,000!
This card started as a $300 secured card a couple years ago, when my options were severely hampered by bad credit, and it sat at $500 for a year and a half. In April, I got proactive and applied for a CLI, which was approved at $2,000. I was shocked! This is another big step forward.
I hope this news helps my recent application for the Ink Plus with the 70k UR bonus. I unsuccessfully recon called twice, and a Chase analyst mentioned that, along with many recent inquiries, my reconsideration was hindered by my highest limit being $2,000 (this credit union card). I hope another recon call in a couple weeks will help reverse their decision. Would love feedback on this as well. Fingers crossed.
Congrats!! Keep up the good work!!
Wait until the CLI reports to EX and EQ before the recon
Congratulations!
Congrats to you !!!
