You're right: that is quite a nice surprise! Hopefully Fidelity just
soft pulled you. It's always best to assume a hard pull, of course.

Congrats! I also was surprised to find that I had been approved with a 17K SL when I logged into fidelity today. When I applied last week all I got was the "we'll send you a mail in 7-10 business days blah blah". Looks like they don't like telling you if you actually got approved or not

Talk about leaving your future members in a not so fun state of suspense, a simple 'Update, you're approved!' would've worked just fine right! Congrats to you as well.
