I've had their basic rewards card since 2012 when I started this app business after improving my credit.
The thing is, it was only a $1,000 credit limit. Probably because I apped like a mad man and they were cautious after seeing all the lines I opened up.
So because I never used it, and becaues I've been getting nice starter limits on newer cards with better benefits, I called to cancel the card. Losing $1k CL wasn't going to kill me.
The rep suggested I request a CL increase instead of closing it since "I've been a long time customer". After some info and a hard credit pull, my limit is now $5k! I still won't use the card, but the limit is nice.

. My question is if you are not going to use it why would you use a hp for the increase and still not use it.?
