I could pee on myself.
I've done Discover pretty bad as I lost my job at one point. (2- 30 day lates and 1- 60 day late since 6/2012)
However, I've been trying to get back on track since I got a new job a year ago. Last month my ficos were at 649/646/626. Since then I have an auto loan reporting thats only had one payment. I have also been approved for a Barclays Rewards since then (1000 limit). In the meantime, I tried twice to get a cli on discover. They told me it would be a hard pull and after getting 3 new accounts (1 secured, the car, and the barclays), and seeing my fakos go down for AAoA. I just couldn't afford it.
Anyway, no sp cli luck on any of my current cards but I just read a thread from someone else today about getting a cli w/ discover and mine has been stuck on "you already have a cli request open" for the last month.... tried today, went to a new screen to verify income and instant approval to 2,500.00 for a 2,000.00 increase!
I am so tickled. I've had this card since 2011 and this is my first cli and now my highest cl !!
Hope I included all the important info and didn't bore you to death
Congrats on the bounce back! Glad to see Discover gives people a 2nd chance
Congrats! Thanks for sharing.

Congrats on your CLI
Congrats!

congrats!!!!
Not to be rude, but with the decrease in score during the time you have had it, i am surprised that they did not completely close it!!!
I like that Discover seems to value the longevity of their cardmembers.
They are very excellent with lowering APRs and doing balance transfer promos too. Might wanna ask them if you have a higher interest rate!

Hey no offense taken at all! I actually feel the same... now. Before I didn't have a great understanding of credit and felt that I had to do what I had to do. From what I can remember, I never went over the credit limit and honestly, I don't know what score I had when I was first approved for the card (it was a student card that was pc'd to an IT) ... but I am thankful that they stayed by my side. Once my scores go up a little, I might take your advice and try my luck. But I just pc'd to the IT about a month ago and now with this CLI, I don't want to rock the boat Thanks for the advice!!
Thanks guys!!!! Couldn't have done it without you all
