GM BuyPower Card CLI - still going up

Six months had rolled around since my last CLI on this card to I hit the credit limit increase button asked for $15k (currently at $12,500) and got a $1000 pop to $13,500.

I know this is far from a popular card on these forums, but I've got $700 banked already and every 6 months the limit goes up, so at least for me it's a good card - note too that I've closed all of the other Cap-1 cards I used to have as no longer useful (to me), high APR's, limited limits, but not really useful credit limits and awful CSRs.

I usually buy GM cars and I had the old GM card.  Would you mind sharing your approximate score when you got the card?

I got this card a few years ago so if I remember correctly my TU (which they pull I believe, just the one) was in the 720 to 740 area - it's now in the 795 to 805 area depending on weekly/monthly ups and downs.

As I said in another answer, I got this card a few years ago when Cap-1 took it over. Credit Limit increases have always been instant, yes and if I remember correctly my starting limit was $5k then went to $10k, then $11k >> $12k >> $12.5k and now $13.5k.

I put monthly Car insurance on it (about $100), XM radio every 3 months (about $220 a year) and the big one, tolls which run $350 to $500 a month, so it's pretty easy to get the full 5% max credit every year.

Glad to see someone work that card.  I couldn't, only one cli in two years with decent use.  Out of the sock drawer, and into the cancelled bin last month.

Congrats! You're seriously the only one I've ever seen grow that card like this.

HP or SP?  When I went to ask for a CLI since I've had the card for six months now the language looks to me like they want a HP.

Always been a SP for me and I have not rec'd any alerts on any of the services I use including MyFico to say otherwise - I'll update if it was in fact a HP.
