after finally getting my first Chase card, i decided to join the garden to let me my cards age. wanted to work up towards my goal card and plus i was at 4/24.
been in the garden since february and score has been slowly getting better.
every now and then i would try the chase prequalify to see if there are any changes and nothing would ever pop up.
nothing ever in the "just for you" section of my chase accounts either.
when chase pushed out the 80k sub promo, that pretty much was them pulling me out the garden.
with me barely starting to rebuild about a year ago and my profile is still pretty thin, i wasn't sure if i was going to get approved or not.
tried the chase prequalify site again last week and finally 4 options popped up (both chase freedoms and both sapphires).
still wasn't sure how legit those were, i posted in another thead about it and thanks to advice from @coreysw12 , i was more confident with my approval odds.
lately, i've been reading about approved applicants getting the "pending review" messages when applying online, i decided to go do it in a branch to hopefully expedite all that.
went in this past friday (9/18) and got the instant approval for the sapphire preferred. i did not have any offers or preapprovals in my account when i checked at the branch.
chase did a hard pull from my experian and equifax.
my current scores and utilization are in my sig.
only approved for the minimum $5k cl, but that was what i was expecting with my thin profile.
have a lot of things coming up, so i should be hitting the 80k sub pretty quickly.

received the card today and here are the credit score datapoints that came with it.
credit score: 776
scoring system name: card aquisition risk score V2.
date calculated: 9/18/2020
apr is 19.99% (always pay in full)
not sure where they got the score from..that number doesn't match, fico 8 or my vantage scores (credit karma)
Total Loan Balance: $43k / $65k
Total SL: $78k
