Before I was working to improve my credit, I applied for a CC with NFCU in 2011, they denied me -- for good reason. And then 6 months later, still not working on my score, but much better payment history and a bit higher income, they approved me for a CL of $6K . And I've now had it for a year. Never late and I wont ever be! they are great to have around.
I've been keeping my usage at about 50% though so I really need to get it down and go into garden mode to do some real improvements to my score.
