Harbor Freight CLI- FF

I got an approval for a family friend for a CLI on his Harbor Freight card. He keeps forgetting to use it, so I was really just hoping this would keep them from closing it (any activity) and he didn't even realize it was a credit card when he signed up. It started at $2000, then it was CLD to $1024 (Synchrony are odd ducks- they were not balance chasing). On June 4, 2022, they increased it to $5000. The only other Synchrony card that he has is a CareCredit MC with very modest use.

Congrats but Becareful with this card. I applied back in may got a CL of $1900 and used $1400 for a tool box that same day they reported and it dropped my score by 40 points. Recently paid it off in full and just yesterday my credit score went up by 45 points... beware this card. Idk if that's a synchrony thing or just this card.
