In Oct. 2012 I received a pre-approval in the male for a Barclay card. I didn't do anything with it until November and I bit the bullet. I was approved for $1,800. It was ok at least it was something. They have been really steady with the increases since:
Dec. 2012 $1,800CL
June 2013 $3,100CL
Dec. 2013 $4,300 CL
Jan 2014 $7,300 CL
That is a BIG jump in a little over a year. I have used it some, but never even close to the credit limits. I've generally carried some type of a balance, a few hundred dollars.
I'm just flabbergasted! All this without me asking!

I went on a spree last week and got approved for all the cards in my sig, but Barclay denied me. I called to recon with them, and the only thing that kept them from giving me a card was my complete lack of revolving credit history.
I'm going to garden all of the ones for which I have been approved for a year or so, and then try Barclay again thanks to what you're saying.
