I am about to move, and I am in need of paint, lawn care items, etc., so I decided to apply online for a Home Depot CC. The system stated that I needed to call in, which was due to an extended fraud alert on my credit reports.
Anyway, after a couple minutes of asking me questions, the rep asked me what my CL request was going to be. I hesitated for a moment and said $3,000, thinking they would counter with a lower amount (if I was not declined). She said congratulations, and that I was approved.
I am very happy, but I am upset I did not ask for more. I am thinking of calling back and asking for $10,000. Heck, why not?
Yaaaaaaay You!!! WTG!
Congrats.
Congratulations!!
Thanks to everyone for their congratulations. Out of curiousity, would it do any harm to call back tomorrow and ask for a $10,000 CL? From what I have read on the forum, they would not do another HP as long as it is within 30 days.
I supposed my only worry is that they will cancel the CC if I get greedy. Is this a valid worry? Thanks
congrats

Congrats on your approval. I don't believe they would cancel your account, the most they would probably do
is just say no. Good luck
