I put a large purchase on my Freedom back in February to take advantage of the 0%. I promptly set up autopay and put the card in the safe. I've been checking on the account every week just to make sure nothing fishy is going on and autopay is working correctly. Today, I got a nice surprise. Chase had doubled my limit!
Info that might be useful-
Had card for ~9 months
Two other cards with recent CLIs
3 billing cycles without purchase activity
Some changes on my report- 2 AmEx cards in December, auto loan at the beginning of the year, 1 paid collection fell off, 1 collection paid and deleted, and 1 reporting paid (because they suck and won't do a PFD
) So a decrease in AAoA, but also a decrease in baddies.
Nice surprise! Congrats!
Very nice.. Congrats!!
Excellent surprise! I wonder what the guidelines with Chase are for automatic CLI's?

I added all of the info I thought might be useful to anyone. But there may be other factors I failed to include. I should probably have added that this card did get a lot of activity before February. 3 bigger purchases over $1k, all Christmas spending, and any other 5% category spend, all paid in full 2-3x per month. All of my other cards are reporting $0 balances this month, Cap 1 reported a ~$500 balance last month.
Congrats!
Very Nice and Congrats. Seems like Chase is giving out some LUV as of lately.
Double congratulations on the double CLI! What was the CL before the CLI?
Congrats from a Hoosier!
Also, thanks for giving the good details. That's very helpful.
