Aw man, congrats, that's great news! I'm just getting started with my credit journey (about a year ago). I'm always curious to know what AMEX looks for (beside a stellar score) as far as profile goes. Thanks for sharing your news!

Thanks everyone for all the kudos and thanks.  I'm glad I gave it a shot for sure.  The limit was totally unexpected.  

I actually went back and applied for a business card while the inquiry was active. Got the business Gold card. (nice sign on bonus)

Didn't want any more cards reporting because I really want a couple Chase cards next year when I'm under 5/24 and scores should climb up considerably when everything is gone.
