I've tried the multiple CLI thing a few times through the automated system with no luck. It was time for my J Crew monthly CLI request so I just gave it a shot. Finally!! I got 11 CLI's for a new limit of $5,650 (From $2,350)!! I opened this account in March of 2016 with a $500 CL. I am currently in re-build mode after my credit totally tanked in 2009.
This, in addition my other recent auto CLI's from other lenders, and I'm having my best credit month in probably 10 years!
Cap One QS1 - Auto CLI from $750 to $3,750 on my most recent statement
Amazon - Auto CLI from $800 to $1,700
WalMart - Auto CLI from $400 - $600 ( really???? -- How long until I can request a CLI via chat?)
Discover - Early secured graduation at 7th month, auto CLI from $200 - $500 then up to $1,000 at my own CLI request
VS - finally got a CLI from $500 - $800 (my requeset), have had acct 9 months
Have also received A LOT of pre-approvals from others, mostly Comenity (Ballard, TR Visa, Williams Sonoma Visa, Grandin Rd, a few others) plus 2 pre-approvals from Old Navy, a AAA Visa, and a few gas cards. DId not accept any of those but it's nice to get some pre-approvals that aren't Fingerhut.
Current scores are 650-682, still have several old baddies reporting and am about 2-4 months from clean reports.
