I just got the email from AmEx, that they've increased my credit limit to $3,000. I had been stuck at $1,000 so they tripled it.
As i understand it, I can still apply for an increase, so maybe I'll try for $9,000. That would be great.

Congrats on your auto cli Soxfan!
Will you initiate a 3x cli? If so, can you update us? My DW is in almost identical situation as yours. She got approved last july for $1K. Denied cli on the 65th day. She got an auto cli for another $1K raising total CL to $2K last month approx 6 months after opening acct. Her Amex EX sits at 659 currently. Would love to app to 2.5x cli.
I will initiate a 3x CLI soon. I just want to see my scores go up before doing so, with these increases my until will go way down which should see a nice boost to my score. My last reported EX on AmEx website was 658. My statement closes on the third, so I should see where my score is after that. If I can make it at least into the 670 range, I think I'll pull the trigger.
i have a amex delta i tried for a cli several times i was deined was a experian score of 693 did you have any baddies
Congratulations OP!
I have an old Optima card that I opened in college (1990's). Credit limit stayed the same for years. Never had a credit line increase until I called and begged for one (around 2006). Fast forward 10 years later, and I get an auto credit line increase 2 times within a 4 month period! Woo hoo!
