App'd for the Lowe's card online initially given $1500 limit, called CS today about a week after app date, and requested increase to $10k. Reffered to underwriting and was approved. Now might have to call later again if I can find some nice appliances 
Some have said India based underwriting always denies, but they were helpful in my case!
You will find the Lowes Card extremely useful. Nice effort on requesting a usable limit too.
