I went back and forth on the Lowe's vs. Home Depot card but ultimately decided that the 5% off every purchase at Lowe's brought more value. The HD card would have probably been socked right away...
I used their prequal site and was pre-approved for 8K. I then finalized the Application and saw a HP on TU.
I then called in to recon the SL and asked for 15K. After about a 2 minute hold I was approved for the full amount. 
Probably could have asked for more but 15K is more than I will ever use in one transaction and I NEVER plan to carry a balance on this card at 26.99% anyways!!!

Yeah I would never carry at that rate either but this card offers 0% for x months multi times a year with different amounts of purchases. Taking them up on one of these offers and you would lose the 5% but its useful for larger purchases.
