Lowes CLI data point

Interesting.  I got Lowes to bump me from 1700 to 5000 in November in anticipation of a flooring purchase. 

Haven't used the card much, paid off every month since then.  Finally initiated a 3500 flooring purchase last week, but it hasn't gone through yet, doesn't even show as pending.  Meanwhile, I figured I'd hit the luv button and try my luck.  Instant 5K to 10K approval, which means my flooring purchase will show up at less than 50%. 

My Lowes history:

2/16: New account $300

7/16  CLI to $1700
11/16 CLI to $5K

7/17 CLI to $10K

Did you request $10k or a higher amount and receive a counter offer?

I requested 10K.  Mainly because I didn't want the credit line to report a high utilization.  Do they do counters?  Should I request 100K next time?

You should go online now and request $35,000.
Let the system counter offer. You'll probably get the $35k though. Lol

Congrats, after 3 more statements, go back in and request $35k. $35k is the max they give without POI.

I went from $6k to $35k in less than two weeks.

Since you've spent so much on the card. They'll probably open the gates all the way on the next CLI request.
