It's not my card, but my roommate's. He's a good friend and I've been trying to help him rebuild. All he has on his credit under 10 years old is a refinanced mortgage, I added him as an AU on my Discover It (earning me some sweet sweet extra cash back), and it hopped his score 40 points. He's slowly working on a house and redoing the driveway when he gets the cash for gravel. Since he goes to Lowe's for it, talked him into apping for a Lowe's card.
He got an instant approval for $2000 and he asked me to help make sure he doesn't abuse it, teaching him how to pay via the app, and setup push payments to immediately pay it if he's afraid he'll forget. (And autopay safety net). Still need to email Equifax, as they have 10-14 year old derogs listed, however his scores seem to be upper 600s, low 700s now.
