Macy's AMEX CLI

As want of those people who have dual Macy's store/Macy's AMEX card I've had a couple CLI's on the store side of the account but nothing up until this point on AMEX side so I decided to give it a try just by itself this time.

Did a SP request. The AMEX was sitting at $500 and had it moved up to $2,000. Not much but at least I got a CLI this month unlike with Disco.

That's 4x -- not bad at all.  Congrats! What was the process like -- luv button, call in, ask for a specific amount, etc?

Macy's has a CLI love button like Discover. It has been said to be possible to run limits up to 25,000 on both the AMEX and store card without a HP. What you do then is put in a soft pull request to 25,000 (from whatever your current CL is) and then they give you a counter offer for less. 

If you accept the counteroffer that is typically better than pushing for more which could result in an account review. Then every 31 days you can go in and try it again to see if you can get a little more.

You can always cut your card in half; close the account; and open a JCPenny account or you can be happy with a 4x CLI. ( I would be happy if it were my card)
