One of my long term goals was to have most of my CLs over $10K. I hadn't really done much with Macy's, but they may be of use for future furniture purposes. My store CL has been sitting at $5400 since my major purchases line combined into my regular line quite some time ago. I figured I'd ask for a $4600 increased to get to $10K...
..and it was instantly approved! I'm assuming this means they used an existing SP, but I'll keep an eye out on my CRs. Time to update my siggy!
UPDATE (2/5): After seeing instant CLI approval success in another thread, I decided to try asking on my Macy's AMEX line. My AMEX line and store line remained separate, even after my Major Accounts line merged into the store line. Anyway, I haven't used the AMEX line in a long time, but figured I tried. I was at $3500 and asked for $10K; they instantly countered with $5K! Very happy, as this line has been dormant for some time. I may need to put a purchase on their, just to give it some activity. I'll either use at the grocery store (2X Plenti points) or see if my AMEX Sync has any offers worth taking.

The Major Purchase separate lines went away a while back, and they combined the available credit into your regular store line. That line was a hidden TL, so you didn't have to worry about UTIL Oh well. .

Thanks for the info. I think I remember now about the lines combining. 
My card will need to upgrade by several thousand $$$$$ before I could think of using it at the furniture side, lol...

OP--First of all congrats. Second: you can probably go back and get more if you wanted. Back when Citi took over the accts. in Aug 2015, my 3 lines merged into a $12.8K CL. Then shortly before Labor Day that year I decided to take the required HP under Citi for an increase and asked for $21K.... and got it. And a few days later they used that same HP to bump it up th $24K (more than I will EVER use-but it's a great buffer acct.) which is where is sits now. Let us know if you see a HP later. Citi pulled EQ for my increase and all 3 of my scores were sub 700 back then. Mine started out in Sept. 2013 at $600
