Macy's credit limit increase - Update: Approved

I am wanting to ask for a credit increase online for my Macy's card, but if I do, will that trigger a "hard pull"? I dont want another inquiry.

Out of impatience I went ahead and did it.....no hard pull (this time)...modest increase...but it's something.....I am sure if I wanted to increase is a whole lot more they would do a hard pull.

Give more info please. Whats your current limit? How much did you ask for? Receive? These are good data points. My experience has been sp recently but always chance of hp .

I think Macy's usually does SP but they have been known to do HPs.

My original was $1,000 they increased to $2,500 no hard pull

Trick i find with Macys is use it a little and then pif. As this pattern continues when you request make sure you ask for a little more than you need , they will counter if they cant give you what you want. Your scores are good enough to get you more. Macys is my highest limit.

Actually try again in 30 or 31 days. A recent poster , i believe Mr-Endowed noticed this trend. Its how i went from 15k to 20k than a month later tried again asked for 25k and shockingly instant approved. If you get the call in just try again in another 30 days. Good luck
