Success...sort of. Approved for my last CC 11/17 I thought it was time to leave the garden to get a complimentary rewards card to fill a gap in my portfolio. No other inquiries. Scores around 800.
Last night I applied for the Marvel Mastercard. I had to verify myself first for some reason and then I was approved for a small limit of 2K.
Others have explained that it's a Synch card and it grows quickly. So I will just use it frequently and PIF. I hope it soars. I did immediately ask for a CLI but was denied.
Took this opportunity to also request a CLI on my Best Buy Visa and my Chase Freedom.
Chase Freedom was sitting at 9K, requested a CLI of 5K, instant approval to 14K. I plan to transfer 4K to my FU which would the. Be at 15.7K.
Best Buy was sitting at 14K. Wanted an even number so I requested an increase of 6K. Initiated online and was told to call in for verification. CSR transferred me to a specialist. The specialist asked me a few questions and said she had to submit it for higher level review because I was asking for such a large limit. After a few minutes came back and I was approved for the 20K limit.
So even though I was only approved 2K on the Marvel I will take this as a win. And if everything went according to plan, my hard pulls were across the 3 bureaus.
Must garden until 2/1/2022 to hit my goal AAOA.

Marvel is their Flagship. The new Sync doesnt really give out instant gratification anymore, like 2016-17 ,we gotta work for it now
