Well, that gardening trick lasted a month. Had gotten a first premier offer for $700 in the mail, but with $175 in fees tossed that in the garbage. I had a previous chargeoff and settled it, and they won't delete it, so I'm over them.
So, opened the mail, got the Merrick Bank preapproval for the double your limit, $900 to $1800 in 7 months, no fees card. Was going to hold off since gardening, but $900 is still $900 i don't have. Applied, approved. I'll take it, make small dinner out purchases, and let it rest to the 7 months when it doubles. Cost me a transunion hard pull, but my 30+ new accounts in 18 months and tons of inquiries are stopping my progress now anyways. I'll take the card, back to the garden I go.... Experian and Equifax still a month clean and no inquiries, dang you Merrick, tease me like that.

Is that the standard time for the Double Your Line with Merrick, 7 months? Or does that vary? Anyone know?

Merrick is spot-on with auto CLI, usually within a day or 2 of your statement date. They keep coming automatically after that. I had a period of auto CLI every 3 months like clockwork. Now I think I'm at or near Merrick's max limit so they don't come so often.
