Mini App Spree: 2 of 3 a success + 4506IRS request :(

Hi All,

Did a little app spree last week of a 67% success rate!!

  • Discover: Approved..........Did the pre-qual (SP) and was finally able to get two options to pop. Accepted the Cashback and was approved for $12000. Shocked and I was expecting about 5 or 6K. But then the dreaded request for the IRS form came through so now I'm deciding whether or not to proceed. Will call and see if I can get away with bank statements
  • Lowe's: Approved.......Have tried for years and could never get a successful pre-approval. Well last week I did and was approved for $1000. Called in for a CLI and was able to get that bumped to $8000. Not close to what I need for our home projects but will wait for the letter to see the reasons
  • Apple: No Go.......booo! Applied 2 days in a row and got different 3 reasons on the first declination; then one reason on the second app which was ' recent chargeoff'. This was odd as I don't have a recent charge-off so will try to find a way to reach a rep to see if I can recon which this site has indicated is hard to do with Apple

All in all happy with the outcome expect that MOD CUT - NOT HERE

Happy Monday

Discover makes the 4506T very easy.. I believed when they did it to me I got a email from equifax on DFS behalf asking me to fill it out online.

takes about 2 weeks, rep said due to the current "economy" they can't take bank statements and need to pull directly with IRS, NBD it actually helped me since I file joint and only put my income.

goodluck OP!

Sorry you received the IRS request. I would have to think about it also. I just feel that’s a little too far and I wonder who ends up with access to the info. I would not want equifax to have access to my tax info. Good luck.
