Hey everyone, long time lurker first time poster here. So this past weekend I decided I was fed up with my cap one and citi secured cards not graduating after 2+ years so I decided to just cancel them. Since paying off a significant amount of my balances my scores have been steadily increasing ( mid 600s ), utilization is at around 50% Because some of my recent payments haven't posted. So anyway long story short, I hit the prequal button for Walmart, and it came back pre qualified, applied and I was instantly approved for $500 
lol. That same night I figured let's try target, applied was not instantly approved but a few days later got the email that my card was on the way, called in and was told I was approved for the store card w/ 1k SL. Lastly just yesterday I was doing my monthly amex prequal and to my surprise for the first time EVER lol I was pre qualified for both the gold and platinum cards. Applied for the Gold and was instantly approved no preset spending limit and a 60k SUB with 4K spend in 3 months. I'm honestly shocked because my profile is the complete opposite of what most data points say that amex is looking for . So with all that being said I'm headed to the garden to age these new accounts and keep building my scores up.
