First post here, but just wanted to post and thank this site for the follow credit successes I've had this and last month.
Small background info:
Started 2020 with 90% utilization across 4 credit cards.
- QS1 $500 CL (increased to $1000 last week SP)
- Cap1 Secured $500 CL
- Cap1 Buypower $1250 CL
- Discover IT $2000 CL (Increased to $4000 last week SP)
Was tired of paying interest and all my payments going towards it so sold a bunch of things on EBay and used the money to pay them down to around 10% utilization.
Experian went from 640 to 728
Transunion went from 650 to 731
Equifax went from 660 to 735
1. February 26: Applied for Amazon Prime Visa instant approval $5,000. When card arrived I had $8,800 available credit
2. February 27: Applied for Ducks Unlimited card instant approval $3,800
3. March 15: Applied for Wells Fargo Propel instant approval $11,000.
Will garden for a year minimum now. After stalking these forums I was inspired to pay down my debt and open better credit cards. While it will be tempting I've been really careful about using my new and old cards and will use my cards with more care. I'll be closing my older ones that have no ability to grow. Thanks guys and gals!
