Well, less than a month ago I tried a CLI over the automated phone thing for 1500 on my Chevron/Texaco VISA (would have brought CL to 3000). It was declined without a counter-offer at the time. Letter arrived in the mail stating not enough experience at current credit limit about a week after the denial. No bigge, because no hard pull and I have seen this letter before in the past.
Logged into my account last night while basking in the glow of my smartphone late at night, and low-and-behold, available CL of 4000!!! Holy cow, an auto CLI of 2500!!! I love you GECRB.
Time for me to dump the Captial One rebuilder (750 CL) as soon as the YES (year and statement) comes out...
congratttt
Next time call the backdoor trouble buddie
Congrats! Love, love GE.

Congrats, they have been pretty good with me too, but not that good. I went from $200 to $800 on my Belks card, that I never used, at the 4th month I think. I also went from $500 to $1000 on my Walmart card at the same time. Both were me calling them. I too am nearly ready to sock drawer my Capone card. I won't close it, since there is no annual fee. It appears the only way to get Capone to give you a credit limit increase is to call their executive response team or file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The removed my AF and raised my limit to $2000 when I filed with the BBB.
