Congratulations on that awesome SL!! But more importantly, how’d you get your cards so neat in your siggy line-up? Mine are driving me nuts as I have OCD.

Re: Best Approval Ever!!!

That's all well and good but each person's financial situation is unique. And as a credit union, BCU offers services that go well beyond credit cards.  I only mentioned the credit card because that's what this forum is about but for example, their PowerPlus Checking offers 2% APY on balances up to $25K.  You'd be hard pressed to find that anywhere else; most checking account that offer higher interest rates have significantly lower balance limits and I just made a large transfer to take advantage of that interest rate.  They also offer very generous PLOCs which I intend to get one but you have to be a member for a while.

I don't carry balances and my utilization is usually 1-2% but I recently opened several cards, most of which required spending to get the sign up bonuses. In my case I paid off a surgery bill that was "off the books" so to speak, to meet the spending targets which pushed my aggregate utilization to just over 5%.  Most people would be comfortable with that but I'm not.  This card allows me to roll up all the cards with balances into one account for easier management; plus I can then decide if I want to pay it all off in one lump sum or carry a balance for free for a while.  In other words I'm using the free float to invest my cash elsewhere.  But ultimately, its access to other products like low-cost auto loans and personal lines of credit that I'm interested in; not just a credit card.  Its all about choices.

That's pretty much what it seems like - personally I don't really see the appeal in a credit card that doesn't offer lucrative perks or rewards

Re: My Best Approval Ever!!!

Its basic HTML coding.  Instead of allowing the forum software to arrange the images for you, insert a hard line break after the Slate image, for example, and you'll have two almost equal lines.  The code for a break is ">br<" (remove the quote marks and reverse the brackets).  You also have to use consistent height and width dimensions and yours are not.
