Hey everyone!
Wow, never did I think US Bank would accept the dirty credit file that I'm carrying, but upon getting recently approved for the Chase Freedom Flex credit card, I wanted to test my luck further in attempting to apply for the US Bank Cash+ Visa Signature card, as a recommendation by @Aim_High! I figured that I could use another 5% rotating cat. card in my setup, but the only issue I was afraid for US Bank was their UW and how conservative they are. I put in my application back on 5/30, with pretty much carrying the inquiries I got from both my Chase and BofA. From what I understand, US Bank does not like seeing accounts opened within the past year, so at the time I was 0/12 when they pulled my Experian file. Upon calling their number for application status a few days later, I got an auto-denial from there, but waited to speak to a US Bank associate to ask if they needed additional information. Apparently, they sought more verification from me, then I was told to wait for about 5 business days for an update on the final decision.
Fast forward to 6/6, I called their number for UW to see whether any changes came around. Luckily, the automated message changed to saying that the application is in process, and that a decision will be made in 2-3 business days. Was relieved to hear this, but I was even more delighted when I checked my inbox this morning to see an email from US Bank congratulating me for the approval of the US Bank Cash+ Visa Signature card, with a SL of $1000 and the card to be delivered in 4 business days! This is quite the good year so far, with being approved for the Chase CFF, BofA Cash Rewards, and now the US Bank Cash+, all in just 3 weeks!
In case anyone wondering, here's the DP for the US Bank application:
US Bank pulled Experian
EX FICO 8 = 711
1% utilization
0/12 accounts at the time of the application, but with 5 inquiries in past 24 months, and 1 closed derogatory account
Oldest account = 7 yrs, 9 monhs
AAoA = 4 yrs
