Yep, AOD still hanging around with their 3% Visa Signature card. It was a long process capturing that Unicorn last Spring for everyone, but I felt up to the challenge. Would I do it again? NO!
My DW nabbed the Unicorn card last April, and I don't like being an AU. So after closing on the mortgage and applying for a few cards (one was a USB GO denial that later reconned an approval), I decided to go on a hunt for my very own Unicorn. I "cheated" by using my DW as my foot in the door, so no biking in Crimson Tide or War Eagle land required this time around.
3 weeks later, I finally get approved for the Unicorn! Evidently, AOD is absolutely slammed with everyone else "on the hunt" along with the $50 SUB they are offering. Based on my member # versus my DW's member #, AOD has added 5,000 members in the past 9 months!
After signing more paperwork and answering more questions than my mortgage closing required (not really, but pretty close), I got a $5,000 SL and APR at 7.49%. I think I may have taken a hit to the SL due to my new DTI ratio with the mortgage, but I'll live with it.
DP's:
Ole Duke with another great one!
Only after that CIA debriefing they did! Lol Nah I heard they put people through some stuff though.
Enjoy it, cheers!
Congratulations on power driving forward and latching on to the AOD unicorn card!
Nice pickup for sure - congrats!
Thanks for sharing. That's terrific! Congratulations on your approval!! 🎉🥂
Congratulations on your AOD Visa Signature approval!
Congratulations on your new AOD card!!
Congrats on grabbing the unicorn!
Since you were already a joint account holder, were you still required to provide POI? Do you and/or your DW use them as your primary bank or at least receive you DDs there?
Just curious! I have been building my relationship with them and using them as my primary bank before trying for the card later in the year.
