Apped for NFCU Platinum for the lower starting APR to use for some hefty bills I have coming due soon, between dental work and a cross country move. Approved for $18,500. This is $500 above my Discover which sits at $18k. Higher APR at 12.0% but fine for now, as I plan to ask for reduction after 6 months.

apr reductions cant be reduced until at least 1 full year . You can ask but very doubtful they will lower it.

I did not known that. Thanks AJC! I will wait to ask at the 1 year mark. I guess that means I can ask for my CashRewards card as that turned 1 back in early August.
